Our Association is a model and leader in Western Quebec. Our “Lake Water Test Procedures” for instance, is a protocol used by many Western Quebec Lake Associations and it was researched and written by one of our members. Almost 100 % of all cottagers on the lake are members.

Your $25 annual fee which is the lowest of any of the area lakes covers many things, including:

–  Systematic lake water quality testing from spring ice-out to fall

–  Water/boating safety, installation and removal of marker buoys

– Municipal dam water level monitoring and recommendations

–  Clearing and maintenance of the walking trail

–  Research into many, many programs including fish spawning habitat etc.

–  Issues with the environment and the ever-encroaching development.

Further, countless hours are spent by volunteers organizing special events for the Flotilla, Poker Run, Fireworks, Annual Meeting and shore lunch,  the Directory, preparation and delivery of the Spring and Fall Newsletters, organizing main events, contacting members, collecting membership fees and monitoring the dam etc. In addition there are many hours of required attendance with various levels of government, Val-des-Monts Association of Lakes, Executive and Committee meetings each year … including during the off season.

The Grand Lake Association represents the cottagers to the local Municipal and Quebec Provincial governments. Being of our Association gives you a voice, and voting privileges at Annual Meetings … as well as access to many lake activities held throughout the year …. all of which enrich your Grand Lake cottage life. Other lake events include the Golf Tournament, the Sailing Club and the unforgettable Canada Day celebrations.

Whether you are a resident, or a property owner, the Grand Lake Association is your Association and we urge you to get involved.
